Boxing Day

26th December 2012

(Above) Coire nan Gall from the A86 this morning. Evidence of a light dusting of snow above about 820m
(Above) Coire Chomharsain. Best and more or less complete cover above 850m. The skyline horizon is the Creag Mhor ridge, an under-used route up to the higher reaches of Sron a Goire and beyond. Quite a lot of heather visible below 650m.

(Above) Loch Lagggan,& Ardverikie with peaks of the Cairngorm massif clearly visible left of centre – I managed  to pick out Cairntoul, Angel’s Peak, Braeriach, (and Cairn Lochan?) plus Cairngorm. Carn Ban Mor, Sgor Gaoith & Sgoran Dubh Mor are also visible on a slightly lower skyline.
