Wintry Gasp

New snow overnight gave a fast disappearing dusting below 800m, above this the new accumulations appeared to be consolidating fast with a reasonable bonding to the old stable base - all helped by some fluctuating daytime temps, although still wintry enough on the tops……

Same elevations as photo above -  Very little cover with only isolated patches below 800m on Cairn Liath Side. Reasonable still at plateau level.

    More snow and with more to come over the next 7 days. I know that last year you had record amounts of snow higher up but surely this winter must be breaking recent records for frequency of snow or something.
