(Above) 650m. Very poor visibility at all altitudes today. Misty with persistent snowfall on light to moderate winds for most of the day. Poor conditions for photography but if you peer very closely at your screen you’ll see there are two people somewhere in that photograph.

 

(Above) The main path through the juvenile birch provided the only contrast. About 10cms of fresh snow lying on the higher parts of the path this afternoon. Some drifting over summits in ENE winds.

Snow is in the forecast again with fresher winds so expecting more pronounced drifting at higher elevations.
