Valley cloud slow to clear

18th March 2019

(Above) Creag Meagaidh Post Face -or rather what could be seen of it, at around midday. Frustratingly the valley cloud was slow to lift, clearing only towards end of the day.

(Above) Coire a Chriochairein – East face slopes have a fair amount of snow on them. All consolidating well below 850m, less well bonded still at highest elevations. Temps are on the up and up this next spell – with any rain cornices are liable to come down…… take care around / underneath any!

(Above) The Feshie Hills, on my way home. I think East was best – at least that was the way the birds seemed to be headed!
