Flat White.

16th December 2019

(Above) One of those floundering around in little or no viz occasions today. Here’s the ‘view’ down and east to Coire Ardair from the approach to Coire nan Gamhna. (Yeah, I know…and it didn’t get any better). Definitely a day for the nimble of foot who are better able than me to cope with the ‘posthole quickstep’, the one where one foot finds an easy firm placement whilst the other leg disappears suddenly into a crotch-threatening snowy void. Hours of fun that!

It was at least really wintry today and there’s definitely something to be said for that.

(Above) Some contrast to be had on the path, shown this afternoon. Better cover here tomorrow if the Met forecast comes good.

(Above) Departing the car park after being on the hill. Big flakes of snow down to 250m. The A86 was black this morning but definitely no cake walk on the way home.
