(Above) Looking towards the eastern end of the Carn Liath massif from Balgowan (Laggan). Covering of fresh snow at all levels this morning with new drifted snow in lee areas. Minor cornice collapse debris (probably from yesterday) below the S-facing and sunlit crags centre of shot.
(Above) Similar view later in the day. Looking west from Blargie. Cloud rolled in during the late morning giving much poorer visibility. A little less cold than of late but still quite wintry. No precipitation in the forecast overnight and during the day on Friday though winds will freshen from the north.
