Sunrise

18th January 2022

I’m sure I am not alone in enjoying the recent early morning sunrises of the last few days. Another today, although some change is now expected, with cooler conditions and a little new precipitation in the forecast. The amounts are not expected to be great – but we’ll take whatever is on offer!

(Above)  Later, as the clouds began to appear. Creag Meagaidh’s high Moy Coire (Left of centre). The coire itself of limited interest for winter recreationists, although the high sweeping shoulder on her flank offers a ski mountaineering descent line (when conditions permit) from a summit visit.  This shoulder also the location of the Moy Wall, the base of which forms the district boundary with Lochaber where it meets on the A86
