Lochan Coire Choille-rais

Choille-rais coire back wall

This remote coire on our patch whilst not exactly in the full winter plumage when last ‘blog promoted’ (Thurs Feb 18th 2010) provides an away from the maddening crowd experience for a winter skills playground.

At a mere hour and a half ‘skip’ up from the Loch Laggan-side road (from the old ‘gypsy camp’ layby, via the Moy woods) it’s not a bad alternative training spot away from the main drag (not that the main drag is overly busy at the moment either!)
Ice, whilst not overly plentiful is forming in the main watercourses of the coire backwall.
