CPD day
16th February 2012
CPD day at SAIS Meggie today. Sam Noble, one of our SAIS Forecasters, was over on our patch to compare notes, methods and protocols. Great opportunity to discuss snow and how our 5 areas differ one from another in terms of snowpack, weather and terrain.
Day started a little wet and drizzly but improved a lot later (became cooler too). Looking more wintry for the weekend – details to follow.
Coire Chriochairein in the photo. The wide obvious gully left of centre we call Lifa Gully and is one of our ‘frequent flyers’ avalanche-wise when have snow and west or south west winds. Pretty bomber today though.
