Camera malfunction today (dead battery!) so no shots from the hill. It was really misty up high for most of the day with flat light so not much missed photo-wise.

There was overnight snow at Meggie with a good covering at all levels and minor drifts across the path in Coire Ardair. Yet what is visible of the hills from the farmhouse looked well scoured of snow. Up high however there are deeper drifts ‘over the back’, which means anything facing North West into the Upper Spey and Upper Roy river systems.

Got a glimpse of the Post Face returning to Aberarder today and Easy Gully & Raeburns Gully looked complete though a bit narrow at the bottom from what I could see. Ice is forming nicely pretty much everywhere, and the relatively modest build up on Last Post has a nice blue tinge to it. The bottom end of South Post was just complete though the ice might be a tad thin.

(Above) Charged the camera battery and managed this shot of Oui Oui on Creag Dubh crag nr Newtonmore on the journey home. The classic line hasn’t ‘touched down’ so is looking a little desperate and is probably still bit of a no-no. Looks like staying really cold for a week or so we may see this route come closer to being in condition.
