Busy at Meggie

16th February 2013

Pinnacle Buttress – Ice beginning to get wet, drippy and disappear at lower elevations
North Post & Staghorn Gully – still reasonable ice build up

Plenty getting ‘done’ today at ‘Meggie’ with teams on many lines and classic watercourse routes – some of the more ‘classic’ in the Inner Coire with multiple ascents.
The early starts undoubtedly getting the best from the overnight cooler conditions, which warmed up considerably as the day progressed to give decidely drippy ice on the lower pitches!
Not so good vis on tops.
