Classic Meggie Fest

6th April 2013

Plenty to do still at ‘Meggie’. Buttresses perhaps starting to look a tad depleted at the bottom end but many gullies and ‘Classic’ watercourse lines still in fine fettle

Alternative sporting options sought by this party below ‘Last Post’ ice in ‘Easy Gully’
Only saw the above ‘Easy Gully’ ascent – but have no reason not to believe the ski descent equally successful!

Some of the afore mentioned ‘Classic’ Meggie Watercourse lines

Mid pitch – Ice a plenty

Some of the more popular  with multiple teams

End of season Cornices above gully lines towards ‘The Window’

A few of which had bits already down – watch out for ‘change’ / rain /significant warming for the rest!

Instabilities still to be found at today’s pit site at 970m on a  NW aspect

Creag Meagaidh summit plateau from Lochan Uaine

Some of ‘Meggies’ lesser visited high W and NW aspects still holding ‘not quite so stable ‘ accumulations in their higher reaches above 950m.

Enjoy!
