The white duvet has descended on Creag Meagaidh
The stalkers’ Argocat tracks – modified for snow.
Missed the boat today. The SNH stalkers went shooting and took the modified Argocat (fitted with snow tracks) to the woods at Creige Tarsuinn: wrong direction for me, unfortunately. Wistful glances as it cruised effortlessly across the deep snow….
That right foot again, this time with a snowshoe. Still knee deep…and only 300m.
Reality check. Foot soldiering with snowshoes on from the door of Aberarder Farmhouse……
The main Coire Ardair path is over there somewhere…..
…..This way. Hard yakka all the way to 600m. Access very difficult and severely limited observations.
Heavy drifting on Beinn a Chlachair.

Binnean Shios this afternoon: heavy drifting at just over 650m.
Another storm system will bring a period of very poor stability overnight and on Thursday. Mountain sport options severely limited.
