Winter’s in retreat (for now).

Falling ice and rocks remain an issue. Quite a few cornices have collapsed but many remain in place. The Post Face is stripped of ice of course and only the principal low grade gullies remain complete and wide.
Full depth avalanches continue to threaten to rumble down in a few places; glide cracks continue to widen.
Creag Meagaidh low altitude snow patches are suffering a distinct dip in form before the finals of the SAIS Snow Patch Olympics! The one at 360m is now gone. Reliable sources tell me SAIS Lochaber have patches of “reasonable size” as low a 470m, so all bets are off for the time being.

Coire Ardair still looks great and a great time now for a wee visit.
