Wind sculpting
24th February 2016
It was a grey morning with flat light making photography difficult. Some pictures of what the wind can do to the snow below. Typically it brightened up when I got off the hill.

Wonderful shapes and interesting to see just how little snow there is at lower levels.

Hi Alasdair, There were ribbons of old snow at the roadside today (Thursday). Moy Corrie: can’t say for sure but my guess is that you might find partially filled in burn lines and depressions with enough snow to skin on from 350m, so that would be circa 500m from the A86. I was skinning from 350m today. The bottom end of the Moy Corrie is very sheltered so hard to say how much snow is in it midway. I’ll append a photo to the Thursday blog posting showing the upper reaches of the Moy Corrie which should give you an idea of snow cover higher up. Hope this helps.
