Danny who…..?

27th December 2016

(Above) Coire Ardair – a general view looking into Coire A Chriochairein, the  notch of the Min Window on Cairn Liath plateau high on the right

(Above) Inner Coire Ardair , The Window – the mottled landscape of foreground evidence of some rapid consolidation of recent accumulations

(Above) Sron a Ghoire – the opposite side of the valley to Cairn Liath, windslab deposits on high Easterly aspects. Exposed hillsides all scoured from the high winds of yesterday

(Above) Min Window – a rapid consolidation at all elevations

(Above) A new addition to the tracks normally encountered!(Tracks ended just at the upper birch treeline into Coire Adair)

(Above) A fleeting glimpse (in red)  Mr Mackskill….? I wasn’t quick enough with the camera

Creag Meagaidh in it’s winter plumage normally the preserve of the hardy mountaineer – now that of the gaily dressed mountain biker!

We’re always looking for quick ways around the hills  – but good luck with that one!

The bike ascent perhaps not a totally satisfactory experience – hence the termination of progress at upper birch and whilst all adventures are very welcome at Creag Meagaidh I suspect the Mt Bike trails a few miles down the road at Wolftrax, near Laggan might be a more entertaining venue.

That said –  no denying the rapid downhill exit, so let me know…….!!
