Coire Choile Rais
6th March 2017
(Above) Murky this morning approaching Meall Coire Choile-rais. Only a little precip mainly in the form of late snow showers but new accumulations were very slight.
(Above) Looking across to Binnean Shuas (foreground) and Creag Pitridh from Meall Coire Choile-rais. Skies started to brighten and clear in the early afternoon.
(Above) Coire Chomharsain in the afternoon brightness. Best cover is above 750m on plateau areas but not quite as extensive and complete as shown in the photo. Summit of Puist Coire Ardair the highest point on the skyline.
(Above) Coire Dubh with a long afternoon shadow. Cornices remain in place in many locations and the ones at lowest altitudes remain relatively moist and weak.
