Dusting on the tops
14th April 2017
Wintry showers on the tops today.
Below a tour East to West  grabbing whatever was in view between the showers.
Looks like it’s more of the same tomorrow – only a bit colder, bit snowier and a bit windier! Forecast of further wintry showers throughout, with the overnight gale force Westerly winds easing a bit and becoming West-North-Westerly during the day. Will be cool on the tops…..

(Above) Creag Meagaidh main range – looking from Ardverikie road end, Kinloch Laggan. A fresh dusting of snow visible on Sron a Ghoire and at top of the Post Face, right of photo

(Above) The dusting on the tops theme continuing  further West  – the  outrigger of Creag na Cailliche at 650m on Creag Meagaidh’s Moy Wall, southern approach.

(Above) Beinn a Chaorainn. The Monro on the most Western edge of our area. This the popular scrambling East Ridge  ascent – top end of ridge unseen in the cloud today.
