Johnny’s back…..

13th April 2017

Blog time again!!

(Above) Lots of walkers (of all sizes) out enjoying the low level paths again today – on the tops however I’m not sure we’ve quite seen the last of winter just yet!

(Above) The cloud was hanging around summits for much of the day (and dropping well below during the showers).

(Above) Between the showers. The Min Window- on the round from Cairn Liath

(Above) The Post Face – just a hint of a dusting of  new snow starting to appear on shoulder of Easy Gully by late  morning.

(Above) Inner Coire Ardair, Cinderella, one of the few remaining lower grade gully lines to retain any snow build up

I’m afraid I can’t say things are looking all that great for the holiday weekend – the weatherman tells us everything is to be a bit cooler again, with cold wintry showers and fresh Westerly winds. The dusting of snow dropping to more than just the summits by Sat.

Perhaps best not put away that winter gear just yet  – ‘Johnny’ could be back……..
