(Above) Creag Meagaidh’s Creag Mhor Ridge (as seen from Aberarder, Loch Laggan) seemed an inviting prospect, on arrival at work today – sunshine, snow – what’s not to like?

(Above) Pretty limited snow cover on lower sections of ridge. Note the obligatory deer posing – btm left of photo. I’ve had it claimed to me by the local stalkers that the deer can suss a shooter from a recreational mountaineer – consequently they aren’t that bothered by the later. Why would you be!

(Above) ….anyway, the theory didn’t seem to hold good with this lot and they legged it down and across the coire floor – perhaps they were fooled by the ‘rifle like’ skis I was humping around on my back!

(Above) A bit of a carry if it’s a ski outing you’re looking for at Meagaidh – still, skis finally on feet at around 600m….

(Above) The Creag Mhor Ridge – top to btm. The day’s low cloud finally clearing in the afternoon  – but only when I got back down…….. Arrrgh – don’t look back!!
