Not a good day for photography!

30th January 2018

(Above) Cairn Liath Plateau area today. Barely worth the photo!Any time I took out the camera the rain, sleet, snow did it’s thing…..

(Above) The Min Window, just off the Cairn Liath ‘Plateau’ and today’s pit site. I was trying to get a photo of the loose, wet, surface snow roller balls coming downhill to meet me – can sort of see them – no? Failed!

(Above) Another squally pulse coming through as I made my way off the ‘plateau’ area. About a 700m wet soggy snowline at present, above that mostly breakable crust and a bit of new snow.

(Above) Everything working hard for a living today – me, the camera and the kit. Thanks to Mountain Equipment for their repelling qualities of rain , sleet and finally snow! More snow tomorrow – hopefully from a bit lower down this time…..
