Confusing (and not just the weather!)

4th April 2018

(Above) Snowfalls overnight brought fresh cover down to the farmhouse at Aberarder. As the path would sugest this is mostly cosmetic below 600m – although some deep drifts do exist in many sheltered lee areas!

(Above) Pretty poor visibility for the early part of the day – although true to form the showers cleared as I made my way off the hill. Coire Ardair and the slopes to the Window under a cover of fresh.(Above) A distant shot ‘zoomed’ from Cairn Liath into the Inner Coire – no let up on the large overhanging cornices looming above Cinderella et al!(Above) These chaps on the backside of Cairn Liath, roadside in Glenshirra (up from the Laggan end). Down low away from the fresh snow,  or is it simply just lunchtime!? They say deer have a ranging distance of up to 6k or so, mind you, I’m no expert  – but this lot must get pretty confused at times if they pop their heads over the ridge away from their encouraged ‘sporting estate’ environment to check out the fresh birch saplings on offer over at SNH, Creag Meagaidh…….!!
