Damp and misty Boxing Day.

26th December 2018

Not surprisingly very quiet in our area today. The damp and very misty weather definitely surpressed any residual Christmas cheer for one and all!

Recent rockfall reported in Raeburn’s Gully which isn’t surprising given the mild, thawing conditions.

(Above) The ‘escape route’ from Coire Dubh at the far eastern end of our patch. The only photo opportunity with anything resembling visibility, a view and at least some landscape definition. 550m cloudbase and rain all day.

(Above) The sort of day when it’s really good to be back at base, into dry clothes with a cup of tea and a slice of Christmas cake. Christmas spirit definitely revived!

Disclaimer: tea mug a Christmas present from a close relative. Yes, a loved one. (Are they right, or are they wrong? I couldn’t possibly comment. I’m pleading the Fifth Amendment!)

Made my family laugh too, though I’m not sure whether they were laughing with me or at me!

      Thanks for your comment, Mary.
