2019 – it’s a start!

1st January 2019

Cooler than of late with a little bit of white on the hillsides  – still, it’s a start!

(Above) Creag Dhubh , behind Newtonmore. I had high hopes as I drove past in the morning – what initially looked like a faint dusting of fresh overnight  transpired to be little more than a frost above 750 metres

(Above) Distant view of the Creag Meagaidh range -  the car park was busier than of late, with plenty of folk out enjoying the cooler day.

(Above) Shoulder of Coire a Chriochairein and Stob Poite Coire Ardair

(Above) Top of the Post Face of Creag Meagaidh – very little snow around the coire rim or onto plateau areas.

(Above) Largest remnants of snow seem to be above Cinderella in the Inner Coire – all re-frozen and stable
