Nice walking conditions on the tops

2nd January 2019

(Above) Looking into Coire Ardair whilst ascending the slopes of Cairn Liath

(Above) A nice day to be on the tops – cool in the light SW winds. The prominent slot of the Min Window in the midground. Some high cloud starting to build above the summits as the day progressed.

(Above) The high notch of Uinneag Coire a Choarainn (or Sharks Gultch, as we refer to it, in our pit site reports) just along, on the ridge path from Cairn Liath. Normally a fairly reliable snow collecting spot  – not at the moment!
