Sunny Saturday!

2nd February 2019

Loch Laggan this morning. Notice the hare tracks both on the edge of the ice, but also in the snow left of the damp bit. The ice did not look that thick to me, but the tracks could be seen (out of shot) continuing all the way across the loch at this point.

Coire Ardair. This loch looked a bit more solidly frozen.

Lots of snowy hills up to the North West.

There was some wind transport of snow through the day.

Some recent small scale cornice collapse/avalanche activity.

Another recent small slide.

It was good to see a number of people out and about today enjoying the good weather. There were a number of teams climbing in Coire Ardair, quite a few walkers and even a couple of ski tourers.
