Good call …?

(Above) A decent sized trench in the deep snow for me to follow on my ski tour to Beinn a Chorainn today.

(Above) The reason for which soon became apparent – several parties (one of which a rather large snake – centre photo). Various mountaineering meets are taking place at the moment. Beinn a Chorainn’s classic East Ridge justifiably popular in the present conditions – although some might suggest ‘book early to avoid disappointment’……..

(Above) Layers containing large graupel  grains (which underpin recent slab accumulations) were noted in today’s formal pit at around 800m on a NE aspect
