Snow loss

(Above) Main track Coire Ardair – recent thaw conditions have resulted in significant snow loss at lower elevations. Here the track today, at the start of the immature birch.

(Above) Nearing the top of the immature birch treeline -  from here skis for access to the high cories still a useful option – if you don’t mind the 30 min carry from Aberarder!

(Above) Coire Ardair and the Post Face. Not a great day for visibility, with  showers coming and going throughout the day – above the best on offer.

(Above) Not all showers – some bright interludes (as usual when in retreat). Some new snow at highest elevations, as temperatures cool once again
