(Above) Ribbons of snow extending below 800m from the ‘plateau’ on the open hillside ofÂ Cairn Laith – the three aptly named Â ‘Trident Gullies’ area (by SNH stalkers) . The primary coires themselves (in their main headwalls)Â still managing to hold more extensive snow accumulations for now. A hill fog eventually lifted to allow periods of nice sunshine after midday.
