Full retreat – Ding Dong / Splash

31st December 2021

Not the best of hill days, thankfully the wind stayed light ….hmmm – not the case for tomorrow.

(Above) A general picture. The Creag Meagaidh range seen early am from afar, on the A86 near Laggan. Snow now in full retreat, isolated patches confined to above 800m

(Above) An atmospheric mist shrouded Coire nam Gamhna (or what could be seen of it), hanging high on the NW facing slopes of Coire Ardair. Drizzle and cloud around for much of the day above 800m.
