A promising start!

17th March 2022

A promising enough, early bright start to the day (it was always going to go downhill!). Hill fog and wintry showers soon brought  rain, sleet and snow to summit elevations, accompanied by strong SW winds. Things are looking better for the next few days, with high pressure on the horizon .

(Above) Nothing to see here – the base of Beinn a Chaorainn’s East Ridge is somewhere out there!

(Above) A team contemplating their options. I don’t think I’ve visited Beinn a Chaorainn once this season, when a team has not been heading for the popular East Ridge – not sure how all faired today. Well done if you found it!
