Skid marks

28th March 2022

Further evidence (should there be any doubt) of the fragility  / similarity of  cornices and farts, here noted today below the crags in and around Coire Ardair.

(Above) Coire Ardair, Inner Coire. The slopes to the window with detritus, often from shedding cornice sections, here running out onto ‘The Window ‘approach.

(Above) Bellevue Buttress. Debris again around crag bases.

(Above) Coire Ardair’s Lochan a Choire (620m)

Wild swimming advisory: Lochan a Choire was +1.5 degrees C. today  – a thin veneer of ice noted adjacent to inshore location!!
