(Above) The Big Picture: Sron a Ghoire et al. All things considered, the old snowpack has held up pretty well over the past couple of weeks. Big change on Monday though with the return of mild and wet weather which will accelerate the, so far, very slow ablation of the snow.

 

(Above) The Post Face of Coire Ardair. Principal gully lines remain intact and should outlast the thaw. MWIS are indicating a return to colder, wintry weather from midweek which should reverse the decline in snow cover.

 

(Above) The top end of Easy Gully, the Post Face of Coire Ardair.

 

(Above) Residual cornices in situ above Bellevue Buttress. Beinn a Chaorainn’s are more pronounced and likely to weaken in the forthcoming mild and wet weather.
