Time to stand and stare…

1st April 2022

The cold Northerly airstream continued today with cold temperatures and very light winds.

The calm conditions allowed us time today to enjoy the views of the classic Creag Meagaidh cliffs from the shore of Lochan a’ Choire. These cliffs are home to some amazing winter climbs, steeped in history and myth. One of Scotland’s classic winter climbing venues.

Little change to the older snowpack, which still remains hard with serious and abrupt runouts.

Calm conditions at Lochan a’ Choire. A good place to sit for a few minutes and absorb the impressive cliffs.

Keith taking a bit of time to stand and stare at the complex architecture of Coire Adair.

Pinnacle buttress looking dramatic and Easy gully looking anything but easy.

Coire Ardair starting to disappear behind a short lived snow shower.
