Blustery showers

Another day with strong Westerly winds and scattered light showers falling as snow above around 750m.

Snow showers are expected to continue this evening above around 900m, then shortly after midnight the freezing level is expected to rise well above the summits with heavy rain at all levels. This will melt most of today’s snow.

    Not a great start to the winter so far – hopefully you won’t be reporting regularly this season on exposed ground vegetation rather than on snow conditions. Perhaps we all need to write to Santa for some of the white stuff and colder temperatures……
