Slightly Sunny Saturday.

6th January 2024

It was a dry day with light winds and various bands of mist and clouds floating about. There were some nigh spells of sunshine down in the glens while the summits tended to hang on to the cloud.  Although the temperature were particularly low last night, the surface of the snowpack had frozen and is generally firm enough to support a person, no post-holing today thankfully.  Looks like more of the same tomorrow although hopefully with a bit more sunshine.

Sunlight filtering through mist this morning.

Although it had now been particularly cold overnight the snow surface had frozen. In terms of showing this I though it was most obvious here on the surface of a slushy pool.

    Hey,

Always appreciate the pictures, if you happen to get a good view of Easy Gully I’d appreciate it.

    Cheers,

Glad you like the pictures, I was up in Coire today (Sunday) and got a picture of Easy Gully that will hopefully be of use.
