More of the same!

5th February 2024

Another very wet and windy day here at Creag Meagaidh. The images below give a good flavour of the conditions encountered today.

The rain has penetrated the snowpack and along with the warmer temperatures has caused some melting. Colder temperatures tomorrow should start to firm things up.

(Above) Coire Adair. The ice climbs on the post face have unfortunately turned into waterfalls.

(Above) Looking into Coire Adair. Significant amount of water in the rivers.

(Above) Coire a Chriochairein.

(Above) Inner Coire below the window. The size 1 avalanche debris pile has come from a cornice collapse, most likely yesterday.
