Sunshine and light winds

24th February 2024

It was a great day to be out in the hills; dry, sunshine, light winds and a covering of snow.

The recent snow is slowly consolidating especially at lower elevations and on aspects in the sun however instabilities persist. There’s enough soft snow to make train breaking on foot hard work, but not quite enough to make it good for skiing as much of it is lying on bare ground.

Another dry day with light winds expected tomorrow.
