Stormy day

27th January 2026

A very windy day gusting 40mph or so on the approach track in Coire Ardair. Winds and and heavy snow will continue overnight, calmer and mostly dry for Wednesday. Would be nice to get a view someday!

Coire nan Gall – a glimpse into the coire which is mostly scoured due to facing the strong SE airflow.

Snow just starting lie on the Coire Ardair track at around 500m in the morning

Looking toward the Creag Meagaidh cliffs – a vague denser grey!

Really! who does this! especially in a beautiful Nature Reserve.  A parcel left on the coire track

Unfortunately this is the world we live in today . Good enough to bag it but too lazy to take to a bin . I hope they see this blog and learn from their mistake . Utter disgrace of a human .
Well done on your excellent as usual reporting . You are some tough mountain people . I look forward to reading your blog daily and getting a real idea of conditions on the slopes with photos .
