Emerging, blinking, into the sunlight.

(Above) After a minging day on Wednesday, finally some sunlight. Looking west from the southern flank of Stob Coire Dubh towards Coire nan Gall (nearest) to Sron a Ghoire and part of the Creah Mhor ridge. Mist-covered Loch Laggan just visible beneath low-lying mist.
(Above) Part of today’s mission was to check out SAIS Creag Meagaidh’s new weather station. Wind speed and direction readings have been dropping out recently so my job was to inspect it for obvious physical faults. None found! Maybe it’s a software issue? I couldn’t work out how to ‘switch-it-off-and-on-again’ but the SAIS Co-ordinator did suggest I go equipped with a hammer. (I’ve got a laptop at home I “fixed” with a heavy blunt object, so he picked the right guy for the job.)
The weather station is located here (below, red arrow) near the summit of Stob Coire Dubh, close to spot height 916m.
