Diminished Snow cover

12th January 2026

A mild day with a diminished snowpack, but the arrival of colder temperatures should hold the current status. Actually this will do the snowpack some good, consolidating the snow which should provide a good base for the future.

Avalanche debris from a wet avalanche – probably during the night during the rain and rapid temperatures rise.
