Diminished snow cover – more snow on the way

22nd January 2026

A much diminished snow cover after overnight rain and a freezing level of 1600m! during Wednesday night. Today the freezing level has gradually lowered along with the  snowline which was around 900m around middayish. Storm force winds will continue tonight and tomorrow , and a lowering freezing level and new snow should enhance winter conditions.
