A Fine Winters Day
6th February 2026
A very busy day today with a full carpark once more, climbers and walkers escaping the incessant strong winds in the Northern Cairngorms and making the most of the good conditions in Meagaidh . A bright start to the day with a light but cold breeze. Another dry day in store for Saturday but freezing levels heading to summit levels by the end of the day.

Such a contrast from the approach track in dry and snowless terrain, almost springlike! but definitely wintry above 800m.
