Grey then a Bright day.

22nd March 2026

A very wet start to the day which thankfully cleared up late morning to give a very fine day with clear views of the surrounding hills. Any lying snow, sometimes large and steep fields in the backs of coiries will become very firm overnight as the freezing level lowers. Mostly these snowy areas are avoidable but just giving a heads up if any plans include snow approaches as crampons and axes would be required. Be prepared for another wintry blast next week with snow to lower levels expected Thursday!
