Drifting

11th February 2014

(Above) Looking towards Coire Ardair –  Light cover of new snow on main path.
the ‘Window’ visible (between the showers) left of view

(Above) Coire a Chriochairein – steady streams of spindrift around rims

(Above) Cairn Liath Plateau Area – lots of snow being transported in high sheltered lee locations

Creag Meagaidh, Coire Ardair. Most crags obscured for much of the day –  blue skies at least for periods between the showers.
The rapid drifting throughout leading to easy shears underfoot of new windslab in high sheltered lee areas.
