A Cool Drifter

12th February 2017

Binnein Shuas, summit  746m and outside our area of forcast  – giving an indication today of what potentially is going on in the higher, West and North Westerly facing slopes of Creag Meagaidh.

At this elevation, whilst much of the snow is sublimating to atmosphere there will be areas at highest elevations, in sheltered lee locations where windslab will be forming.

Variable conditions around at the moment; pockets of instability coupled with adjacent areas of wind-scoured terrain
