(Above) Looking west towards the Sron a Ghoire massif this morning. These aspects hold the bigger patches of snow at Creag Meagaidh, generally anything N to E facing. The Creag Meagaidh plateau probably has reasonable cover but the Post Face of Coire Ardair has been pretty well stripped after the sustained thaw.
(Above) Looking into Coire Chriochairein. Same story here as well. Mercifully dry during the day (just the odd light rain shower) but very mild throughout.
(Above) Looking into SAIS Creag Meagaidh’s outlying coires on the Carn Liath ‘whaleback’ – Coire nan Gall (far left) and Coire Dubh (centre).
Wet and mild overnight then cooler – freezing level falling from 3200m overnight to 1000m by sunset on Monday. Some snow in the forecast but not much and coming quite late. Thin, localised new accumulations of windslab possible by the end of the day, though only above 950m.
