A bit dreich…

4th January 2020

(Above) The path into Coire Ardair, from Aberarder today – a bit of a bleak walk in prospect…

(Above) It actually turned out not too bad higher up, later in the day; here in the seldom visited Coire nan Gamhna, high on flanks of  the main Coire Ardair. The water levels in the small tarn at around 800m ‘benefiting’ from the overnight thaw of any small, recent snow accumulations.

(Above) Descending from  Creag Mhor towards Sron a Ghoire -  just a few  high, sheltered areas managing to retain some patches of  generally well consolidated, moist /wet snow.
