Thawing conditions

17th February 2013

Coire Dubh – photo taken from A86 Laggan road

Coire nan Gall

Some loose wet snow single point release sluffs on steep East & South-Easterly aspects – resulting from lightest of dusting of overnight precip. Sorry – photos not so clear, taken on way to work from Laggan A86  (sluff features maybe just visible below crags)

Coire a Chriochairein (Stone Coire)

Still a few cornice features around although most now slumped

Post Face lines – still plenty of ice around (but with thaw conditions – best ice, if any ice, has to be highest ice!)
