Meggie ‘Untamed’

17th January 2015

Access to the Meggie ‘inner reaches’ still a challenge with deep drifts on main tracks and a widespread breakable crust.

Skis  undoubtedly very useful for access - especially if survival skiing your speciality, in which case Meggie could well be your ideal venue! Loads of deep drifts, snow covered heather, sastrugi and the odd scoured icy section on high  ground - if not, then perhaps a few more alpine seasons worth of practise probably worthwhile before venturing forth!
